Athena House has been serving women in Sonoma County since 1977.

Treatment Center

Athena House is a twenty-six bed treatment center serving women only. Our primary mission is to provide motivated women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol with the emotional, vocational and social skills necessary to live in the community drug and alcohol free.

Length and Cost of Treatment

Athena House provides individualized treatment for up to six months followed by a 26-week aftercare program. The length of treatment may be customized to fit individual needs. The cost of treatment is $1,500 per month, collected on a month-to-month basis.

Program Format

Residents go through a phased program, earning increased levels of privileges and responsibilities. Parenting education and extensive visiting with children facilitate family reunification. Upon completion of the program residents are employed or attending school/training, have an income source and have secured safe housing. Treatment includes:
