Athena House is a fifteen-bed treatment center primarily serving Sonoma County women who are referred out of the criminal justice system. However, there are two beds available fo other types of referrals. The primary mission of Athena House is to provide motivated women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol with the emotional, vocational and social skills needed to live in the community drug and alcohol free and to remain out of the criminal justice system. The length of residence varies from six to nine months depending upon funding and individual needs. A six-month aftercare program is provided to graduates at no cost.
