Jobs in the manufacturing of metal, glass, fiberglass, rubber, plastic products and food industries; program specifically designed for low English proficiency students

Ability to lift at least 5 lbs

Electronic Assembly

Jobs such as electronic assemblers, electronic materials handlers, processor installers, fabricators of electronic components and equipment

Ability to lift at least 5 lbs, ability to differentiate colors, freedom from allergic reaction to solder fumes

Welding

Jobs such as arc welder, welding machine operator, combination welder, pipe fitter, welder apprentice, cutter, ironworker, metalworker, metal products assembler

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. (25 lbs for physically limited persons), freedom from allergic reaction to dust and fumes

Truck Driving

Entry-level employment as a heavy-truck driver, tractor-trailer truck driver, van driver; short haul and over-the-road drivers

Ability to pass physical exam including drug and alcohol screen, clean DMV printout, has held class C drivers license for at least one year, must be 21 or older

Shipping & Receiving

Jobs such as shipping and/or receiving clerk, forklift operator, automated pallet jack operator, order selector, industrial truck and tractor operator, warehouse or stockroom stock clerk, freight and materials handler

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. (25 lbs for physically limited persons)
