| California Human Development’s ‘Annual Community Recognition Event’ will be held on May 15th, 2010 at the Lexington Hotel in Stockton, California. This year’s theme is ‘Celebrating the Success of Youth’ and will feature an exiting keynote speaker: Jose Hernandez, a former migrant farmworker turned NASA astronaut! Dinner, music, awards presentations, a raffle, live and silent auction, a youth photo contest, and free wine pouring from notable area wineries will all take place at the event! You will not want to miss it!

We want your artwork and pictures! CHD Invites both amateur and experienced artists and photographers to submit their drawings, paintings, and photographs for CHD’s first annual First Annual Art and Photo Contest. There are two categories in which to submit entries:

Youth and CHD Youth Activities: Images that portray the lives of youth or that show the success of CHD‘s youth activities and programs. Here are some sample pictures from this category to inspire you:

The top two winning photographs from each category will be announced at the Annual Event and the prints auctioned off to support CHD’s mission. The photos will be highlighted on this web site and the winning photographers will be given an award.
