Overview
A $787 billion economic stimulus package was put in place by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) passed by Congress on Feb. 13, 2009 and signed into law by President Obama on Feb. 17. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act targets investments towards key areas that will save or create good jobs immediately, while also laying the groundwork for long-term economic growth.
California Human Development plans to access funds made available by ARRA to assist in the development and enhancement of programs that will create and retain employment opportunities for our target populations.
